The General Directorate is comprised of the Director General, the Assistant Director General, and their administrative staff. It includes the Legal, Corporate and Communications Department as well as the Business Training Division known as Qualificaction. The General Directorate works in collaboration with the Council of Commissioners and assists them with their functions and powers and, notably, in the long-term planning and development of school board policies and orientations.
The legal team also supports schools, centres and other departments with school board policies and with all legal matters. Other related mandates of the legal team include access to information, protection of personal information, information security, archives management and ensuring compliance in terms of contract rules.
The communications team manages internal and external communications, crisis communications, and the development of advertising campaigns, oversees media relations, initiates and coordinates various employee recognition initiatives, and organizes numerous corporate events. The team also manages social media platforms, updates the corporate website, and provides website training and support to schools and centres.
Finally, Qualificaction offers customized training and coaching services to businesses in the Laval, Laurentides, and Lanaudière regions as well as outside its territory. Training is provided in various fields such as management, human relations, sales, customer service, and more.
